I know many South Africans who voted for Mr. Zuma are disappointed in his performance as President. And this may be for the same unrealistic reason that some South Africans want him replaced by a man chosen by God to lead this nation: what they really want is a king. Somebody like the imaginary king in the sky, to whom they pray for deliverance with all their might.

But those who are looking for a king to lead this nation should not be surprised if he turns out to be as vain, despotic and cruel as the sky king they imagine. A president is a man, not a king, and certainly not a god. Be careful what you pray for.

Ah, and we all saw it coming didn't we? Remember the "Stop Zuma" posters from the opposition? What did the ANC supporters say again?

Wasn't it something along the lines of "HANDS OFF! HANDS OFF ZUMA! NXA!" ?

Then there were the odd one or two here who reckoned those against Zuma were being judgemental as Zuma had not been found guilty of any crimes and so he should be given a chance.

Paint it as you want Zuma/Nxesi, this is nothing more than blatant thievery of OUR tax money.

This coupled with all the usual "fear mongering" reasons (crime, etc) is exactly why I will be packing my stuff and moving in the not too distant future. (Don't pay tax: You're the criminal. Pay tax: You fund the criminals. )

I keep looking for reasons to go back to SA. Apart from my friends that are still there, I am yet to find a single convincing reason.

The deterrents keep on stacking up however.

Why is Zuma so paranoid? No body gives a flying f%#@ about him and South Africa. I can understand the U.S. but here? Maybe theres something he's not telling us.
