#ZumaMustFall marches planned for 4 different dates

I see a lot of negativity towards Zuma, not the ANC. Majority will still vote anc.

While it would be my preference for Democratic change to a party that will genuinely put South Africa first, I have no hang up about the ANC being the ruling party. All I want is a government who will stamp out corruption, fraud and cronyism. A government that promotes a healthy thriving economy. A govt who does business internationally for the good of the country. A govt who upholds the law and constitution, and treats its citizens fair and equally. Redressing the past is not negotiable.

If it's the ANC or DA, for me it is irrelevant.

Yip, they're all politicians. Just want honest people in charge, whoever it may be.

So this is going to be like the student marches. Cops on full alert. Gas bombs and live ammo?

One of the interns at work told me that Zuma does not represent the ANC. She will still vote ANC

I've had the same thing said to me. I was told by my colleague, who votes DA for the munic elections and ANC for national, that the DA or any "white party" cannot come to power ever again or Apartheid will return.

Bear in mind this particular person is as educated as I am and is someone who I get along with extremely well. I can only give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she is so brainwashed by the ruling party she does not realise how illogical that is. If that is not the case then I fear for what her reasons might be.

Yep the reason given for continuing voting for the ANC is that "I cannot have a white person ruling over me. I'd rather vote for a Chinese or an Indian than a white" This a 21 year old girl. Think apartheid was over by the time she even knew what it was

No, because of what the march is for

It does not matter what the march is about, just that it is conducted peacefully. Trying to accuse someone of treason by exercising their right to protest in an orderly fashion flies in the face of democracy and if it does occur will be a sign of just how far from democratic rule we have moved. It'll just be another box to check off among many other scary signs, including the State's tight-fisted control over the SABC.

If you believe that the march will be allowed to peacefully continue you are delusional, although he doesn't give a fsck so who knows

If only that were correct ...

Unfortunately ... there are are no individuals in the collective ... as we are constantly reminded.
We and they ... did not put Zuma into power, the ANC did, both as ANC leader and President. So, the ANC is saying that Zuma does infact represent the ANC and unfortunately .. the country.

But to try to explain to the masses how the ANC propaganda machine uses them like id 10 ts ..... well thats the hard part. Brainwashing takes a long time to undo.

Sometimes its just as simple as...

iPhone vs Android, Nvidia vs AMD, AMD vs Intel, Man U vs Liverpool, Christianity vs Islam... Or whatever numerous debates you've seen over the years... Some bleed ANC because its what they grew up with... People going around telling them they stupid just makes the problems worst...

This is exactly what I'm predicting. Just like the student marches he'll hide out for a few days and laugh it off in his next public address. He's knows he's untouchable at this point and will not feel the need to react.

Fair enough, however:
1) It does not make it any more rational of a standpoint.
2) Decisions that impact the country's welfare should be dealt with a little more rationally than what phone to choose.
