#ZumaMustFall marches planned for 4 different dates

Well so much for "Nothing will come out of this"... :)

We need to keep the momentum going to make sure the SAA, Nuclear... deals don't go through and even take away some of the country from the ANC in next years elections...

Im sure he signed the SAA and Nuclear deal already, well thats what they are saying on 702

IF we can get him out a case can be made that he was doing it with his own interest at heart maybe there is a chance to get out of some things.

BUT WE NEED THEM TO FALL NOW! Not when the next election comes.

Last time I checked, Zuma was still in office. So nothing has come of this petition as yet. The only reason we have Pravin as Finance Minister now is because Zumas **** up hurt the pockets of the elite within the ANC.

They way I see it is #ZumaMustFall only applies as long as Zuma is in office, the longer the NEC keeps Zuma in power the more people will realize that it's not just a Zuma problem but an ANC problem. My Social Network feeds are on fire with furious ANC voters...

Your social news feeds may be lite up with angry ANC supports, I just hope they take their frustrations out on the party at the next elections.

The middle class can always cut back to survive (which will further slow the economy) but the poor blacks can't cut back from nothing in the first place. Then the slowing of the economy will lead to further unemployment etc.

The mining sector is a great example of killing the goose that lays the golden egg. How many of those striking miners are now unemployed and there no signs of recovery anytime soon

I'm cutting back my domestic from once every second week to every never. Shame, and her 5th kid is due in the first quarter sometime. She's an ANC supporter from zim that bought her SA id, she can go ask Zuma for compensation.

My gardener can stay, he's anti ANC and South African by birth.

This is why I won't join the marches. There is no point in marching for change if the majority of supporters will still vote ANC (vote for no change).

A very narrow-minded and short-sighted view, shared by many in SA. As a citizen, tax-payer and resident of this country it should be your civil duty to speak out and demonstrate against decisions made by the government which ultimately destroy the country. Many governments have fallen due to similar actions and believe me, I rather participate in a march/protest action on 16th December and can honestly say "At least I tried". The majority of the keyboard warriors here will however be doing nothing and then complain about taxes, e-toll, Eskom etc.

The reason why people continue to vote for the ANC is because no other party has done anything tangible. I would have thought that many actions done by Zuma would have been a case for the constitutional court (same should have also applied to Mbheki and the thousands of people he "killed" due to his HIV denialism) - and yet parties such as the DA seem to use events like the Nene-axing as nothing more than electioneering. There is no point of debating that in parliament, drag his corrupt a*** in front of the concourt and there are many valid reasons why/how he flouted the constitution.

I'd rather the country collapse so that the average citizen is forced to start thinking with their heads instead of their emotions.

Until that point is reached all we're doing is sticking a band-aid on a tumour and prolonging the inevitable.

If you won't join the march then stop complaining. If you have issues with Zuma, do something about it.

^ This.

Black people need to boot the ANC out of power not white people like myself.
If white people miraculously manage to get rid of Zuma or the ANC then it will be spun to be a racist anti-black movement by the ruling powers which will just divide the country even further. We need a grass roots movement.

Just because I don't support someone's idea of activism doesn't mean that I have no right to complain.
I have nothing against the marches other than it should be attended by 90% poor black people - not a few elite white faces.

This is actually a good point.

Thats a rather racist-narrow-minded view you have there. No, black people do not need to attend the marches. South African citizens need to show support in numbers. White, black, Indian, everyone! Also, if you complain and don't do anything to help improve the situation, then you really do have no right to complain, it's as simple as that.

I was gonna say pretty much what you said so...

People use this same reasoning for not voting. If you're not happy with the state of affairs then get off your arse and do something about it. It may be in vain, it may not, but you must at least try. There is absolutely no excuse for laziness...

Whites don't know how to march don't you know?

That's the biggest problem here. I don't think that there is any "formal" backing from any non-profit for what is going to happen on Wednesday. So people will rock up at the Union Buildings, Nelson Mandela bridge and other areas and in the worst case SAPS will rock up and "ask" crowds to leave - illegal gatherings and all.
