Hopefully you have a Hit n Run system or policy in place because loads of people simply don't understand what 'share' means.

err..... you might wanna put on a flamesuit though....i see some stuff has keygens included/etc ?

local.

A local torrent great, but with my connectivity and I am willing to seed. Back to NZB's

What it is is a torrent tracker, no limits to users, no registration needed.

I know, perhaps, 4/5 leechers will seed when the download is done but you're always going to get that one guy who will limit his upload to 1kb/s then download as much as possible with his 4mb/s line. It's a great idea and if the community grows enough 'one guy' won't be a problem but when you're starting, I think you need to deal with that guy!

TheSteve, give me a chance here, it was launched yesterday. I'm still busy adding all my apps to the site. Will get to the movies next.

Yeah, that 1 guy will always be the problem, but already there are a few people there that understand how important seeding is.

I'll give a hefty kickstart to to the anime category tonight when I get home.

Much appreciated.

I don't have time to upload anything today, hopefully tonight I can make a huge push.

In the process of upgrading my line...Just waiting on Telkom now, so people can download better too.

Cool we need anime local :)

Well, I have 250gb on my drive currently, about 400-500gb stored on dvd's, and I'm getting a big shipment from an old friend later this week :D
So there is lots to share. Will ask in the shoutbox tonight for suggestions on what to share first.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I dont see you hosting for long with WebAfrica. This from their AUP

Illegal Use
Web Africa's servers may be used only for lawful purposes. Transmission, distribution or storage of any material in violation of any applicable law or regulation is prohibited. This includes, without limitation, material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property right used without proper authorization, and material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes a legal threat, or violates export control laws. Examples of unacceptable content or links: "Pirated software", "Hackers programs or archives", "Warez Sites", "Irc Bots", "Illegal Mp3's" etc.

We will be the sole arbiters as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.

Doing a site like this takes some planning in getting this right from the start, registering a domain and installing torrent trader script just wont do it.

What if he just created a tracker like OpenBittorent and the torrents were shared elseware (like IRC or something)?

Even better, what about a torrent site for open-source, creative commons, public domain, etc. stuff?

Well, I'd like to wish you good luck and thank you for providing something constructive (other than NBZ's) to use local bandwidth up in this country. Hi 5! Will be sure to seed if I do use it.
