My mate was on and talking to Exception when it happened so it probably isn't maintenance and they definitely know about it

EDIT: They also said (apparently) they are changing ISPs (to Afrihost) so maybe that's happening now

ISPA filed a complaint, and WA suspended the account. We are not 100% sure about where to shift yet, but we should hopefully be up and running on using our own means as soon as we retrieve the database from WA. As soon as we have the database, we can be online within the hour.
Busy making the plans necessary to prevent something like this happening again.

Hey your first bit of bullsh** :), but how can WA suspend your account for doing nothing wrong? (its just a compliant???)

Dunno the logic behind it, but at the very least we should be able to get the database back. Just don't know when. If its not by tonight, might start the tracker up fresh in the interim and port over the old data once we get the DB back. Still waiting for a response from the WA techie zeek spoke to (apparently the techie was confident we can get the DB back, and will contact zeek about it)

Web Africa are a member of ISPA and tend to follow their directive. Which is fair.. whats offsides is the lack of morality from ISPA.. Its like someone banning the VHS...or the CD.

You don't have to stop. You're still connected to the peers you were before the tracker went down and can continue to download from them (as long as they stay online).

Thx, you seem to have all the answers to day:)

We got hit by the ISPA...we'll be back by the end of the weekend....Nothing will stop a whole community...

Try explaining to an ISP the fact that .torrent files are not pirated software....SIGH...

Just like those swedish anti-pirating people, maybe you should email, TPB people and ask them for advice
