Apple and Steve Jobs fight dirty

I blame Jason Chen. His the one that started all this boohaa.

Hopefully Apple fanboys can now admit what an ******* Steve Jobs really is.

I can sympathise with Apple on this. We have had similar problems using GSM antenna's in other environments. BUT this CAN be improved. It just takes a lot of time. Nokia has spent $40bn on R&D in the last 20 years and I am pretty sure half of that went into antenna design...

Newsflash! Apple did fix this issue - free cases for everyone.

The videos everyone is bitching about just show a bunch of cellphones which also lose reception when held in the hand, a problem as old as cellphones itself.

I also think this has been blown out of all proportion. Who on earth holds a cellphone by the corner anyway? And I would love one too ;)

Just say sorry and fix the damn thing. If i had an iphone 4 (and therefore this issue), i wouldnt give a stuff if some other Blackberry/HTC/nokia user had the same problem, i would want the damn problem fixed...

It's like getting a rotten steak at a restaurant and when you complain they say "well the steak next door is rotten too, so its ok"...

Seriously... I can hold my blackberry in any way you want - hell, I'll make a call with the damn thing in my mouth if you want and it'll be fine. Can do the same with my HTC.

Bah. Why lie?

But wait... Apple does have a point... smartphones are finicky about positioning. My HTC comes with a warning on how not to hold it... it is not a new issue. I do not have an iPhone to test but I would think it would have some weaknesses too...

My signal on my HTC or any previous phone of mine however never lost complete signal if I held it wrong... it would however take a knock in performance.

Perhaps the iPhone is just such a poor design that it loses signal completely... :D

An iPhone 4 with an antenna problem is still better than anything else, and sales is proof of this. Those already owning a "faulty" iPhone 4 can return the device for a full refund ... but nobody's doing so because it's not such a big deal (and it can be overcome). And no, I don't own one, yet (using BB Bold). If my iPod Touch is anything to go by I'll not hesitate to get the iPhone 4 next.

What a lot of people seem to be forgetting, is that the Problem is not a problem for most people. I can see how more left handed people may suffer from the issue than right handed people, but even most left handed people do not hold the phone in a way which causes any issues. I have the 3gs, and I don't recall ever getting a dropped call, yet people complained about that as well.
What amazes me is how many haters, who do not own the phone, and probably never will, still spend valuable time complaining about the issue.
Sure this issue proves you all right once and for all. Steve is Satan incarnate, and the iphone is mass produced by Al-Quaida to destroy humanity as it is. But so what? If I want it, I should be allowed to get it without all the halabaloo.

Bet you most people will either not get the free case, or if they do, will not be using it within 3 months. One simple reason, they don't need to.

I assume this isn't a syndicated article but a staff writer for MyBB? If so they desperately need better quality writers as most high school students would be embarrassed to put their name to such shoddy work.

Also, the Bloomberg article he links to has been categorically proven to be bull****.

Try doing some actual research on a topic before hand.
