Android 3 plans

looks like android 3 will become like windows. different computers same os now different mobile devices same os in 5 years some people wont have computers at all doing everything from there phone

What is getting out of hand, your p3N1s ? What are you PAYING for? This stuff is free. Don't make demands about something YOU are not paying for.
 
I like the frequency of the software updates! Bring it.

For those that are not that interested, stay on the software you're on, for the rest, it's new toys to play with all the time!

Jees, relax buddy. Just cause Holland didn't win the WC doesnt mean you can flame on our forums.

It is a figure of speech known as hyperbole(hi-per-bowl-ee) and it means on over exaggeration. Not every post has to be backed up with facts. I was simply stating that 2.2 was only released a couple of months ago and now they releasing another big update in a months time and for the not so tech minded individuals it is hard to keep up with the constant updates, i didn't say it was a bad thing.

just because windows releases a new version does not mean you have to upgrade :)

will we be able to enter a proxy? i really hope. need to do some research but doubt i will find any/ much more info at this stage in time
 
I am really glad Google has decided to stop all custom UI as the phone companies cant keep up with the Android updates. Sony is still waiting to upgrade android 1.6 to 2.1 that will only happen in 2 months time and then android 3 will be released in a month after that. talk about fail. Sony just cant keep up. why they didnt make their UI an addon rather than an OS rework no one knows. If Android 3 is much better than sonys UI 2.1 so gonna upgrade my Xperia X10 to that. Hope the programers out there will make a way for this to be possible.

Google should fine Sony ericsson for making there OS look bad :D and make them release updates faster. One place where all companies fail, like notebook manufactures and driver releases is software. No one wants to update their products software it easier for them to make a new product and make u buy it cause u want the better functionality. Why not focus on keeping phones up to date rather than always replacing.
 
I'm still waiting for 2.2 for my Desire. What's the point of upgrading to 2.2. when 3.0 is around the corner?

Would you prefer they don't update and then the latest technologies aren't received? If you're happy with your current version then stick to it ... stop complaining. I love the new updates and am excited for Version 3.0
 
Update frequency will decrease after 3.0

2.2 is great. Not a standout difference. But you'll definitely notice the changes. Wireless hot spot is brilliant.
 
3.0 in October but people will only start to get it on their devices October 2011.

If your are not patient e enough to wait for 2.2 then join us ( Mobile Road Warriors ) and root your Desire to get 2.2 and you can also unroot it if it has to go back to the shop. For the Desire its easy as 1 clicking by using UnrEVOked 3. Instead of complaining of what is outstanding do your research and liberate your mobile device !!!!!
 
looks like A3 won't run on my x10, o well a2.2 is still good
