DStv Box Office video rentals planned?

hmmmmm interesting :) gonna have to wait and see how this one pans out

More money

So they want more of our money? It's already a rip off.

If a rental is not too expensive, I know me and most of my friends would definitely use it. Way to go!

Why not go one further and sell rugby matches or content on a pay per view basis?

I have no need for a full bouquet during the week, but can do with the sport on weekends.

I'll pay R20 per rugby match. no problem.

They will let you pay R20 per match but with a FUP stating you can only watch 60min per month... LOL:D

Bully for them ... but I won't be using it .... they already take enough of my money ... just sayin ...

Or a delayed live transmission, aaargg, then they must rather leave it.

I agree-- before they start renting out videos on DSTV,why dont they have a pay per channel choice so that we are not lumped with paying for channels that we never watch nor are likely to ever watch.

I asked them why and they sent an email trying to explain. We know what the reasons are, they will lose a lot of money if they don't force the popular channels to subsidize the ones that make up the numbers.

What is the bet this will be more expensive than normal Video Stores! :D

That will be a fail of note. It is quite convenient if you want to catch a movie. But the real question.....how to get it on DVD fab for later viewing.

Thinking about this service they can stick it, quite frankly. We are being ripped enough as it is for the cr@p we already receive as premium subscribers and I am only classified as such because I love to watch sport and the likes of History and Discovery channels. I am in agreement that to pay for channels I watch is fair but then this is an unfair world isn't it ;)

They need to get more HD channels up. Lower the damn price. Offer more international sports LIKE BASKETBALL. Get a license to at least show European(England/Germany/France) feeds instead of the crappy middle eastern TV feeds we get. So much more work to do. They are trying to catch up with everyone else in the world but have failed to deliver fair prices, good support, live programming...compared to every other continent.

Soon they will be trying the triple play I can smell it.

They could show these movies n their movie channels. On second thoughts, they won't be making zim$$$$$$$$$
