Hi everyone,

I will be attending university next year and am busy experience the same problem everybody has in the world, MONEY.:D

My question to the community is, did anyone ever make money from wrapping your car? If you did, can you please supply the company that you used as well your experience with them?

I am referring to the concept explained on websites like:
  1. http://www.brandyourcar.com/how-it-works
  2. http://www.studentvillage.co.za/articles/recommended/brand-your-car-get-paid/

Thank a lot,
James Bourne

Have a friend that did it but directly for a company not through an agency or anything. Also got paid about the same but really cursed when he had to take it off. Was quoted abt 3k to have someone else take the stuff off. Him and his gf decided to do it themselves and after about 2 days of frustration they had it off but would rather have paid the 3k.

Brand Your Car is done by Unlimited Ideas, a division of Primedia Limited. As far as I know, if your car is chosen for advertising, you can earn up to R2000 per month.

More info you will need to find on the web: http://www.brandyourcar.com/

Would be nice if they gave some more info on the site as to how much you get for a specific car brand etc. (For instance, is a small 2 seater sports car "worth" more or less than a larger vehicle with more space for the ad?)
Some more pics of the image flighting process would also be nice.

As far as I understand the Brand Your Car concept, they basically match a driver to an advertiser. So it's not just dependant on your car, it's also your route - highly visible people on high congestion routes will probably be able to get a bit more than the beetle sitting in your garage 10 days out of the 12 ...

But yea, I honesty don't know much more - just saw the flyer a few days ago. Best suggestion is just to give them an email and ask ...

If they ask, yes, you do drive around alot! :D

:D Yeah! Tell them you live in Randburg and you work in William Nicol drive, but you prefer driving south on the N1, then you take the M2 east, onto the N3 where you stop next to gilloullies (have no idea how to spell that) for a huge coffee and to hand out T-shirts to needy children.

R400 a month is crap...R2000 yes, if I was a student, I'd do it for R2000

Its not all glammer though, I saw some cars dressed up as tampons especially if you drive a red car.

lol...tampons! If you drive a brown car it will be advertised for laxatives lol

BUMP!!!! BRAND YOUR CAR

Has Anyone done this yet and or know of anyone who has. Is it Working etc

Would Love to know looks like a Great Idea

there are a bunch of catches.
commit a speeding offence and you loose the payments/financing.
have a accident and you loose the payments.
Some require a GPS tracker and if your not doing enough Km's or in the right areas you loose the deal.
The T's & C's around this are pretty hectic.
It isnt a scam and can be a good idea for some people, but read the conditions carefully.

If you cant afford the car without this deal then if you loose the deal due to some violation that would mean that you would loose the car and possibly effect your credit rating.

Thanks

Was Wondering if there where Catches Dont wana get stuck with not having money that you needed to pay off Something :wtf:
