Motorola XOOM tablet and Android 3.0 video demo

Looks neat

Apples days are numbered... Android is def the way to go
 
Pretty impressive, although I have no need for a tablet (yet)
 
What would be the estimate cost of the XOOM?
 
I just got the ViewSonic gtablet. I luv it! Angry birds is amazing.
 
lol its way to expensive. iPad is $500 yet on SA shores its R8000? (correct me if im wrong)

maybe its Core (apples local importers) inflating the price

but the Xoom will probably cost R10k when it gets here?
 
I sure that, just like with other gadgets where we are ripped off, you can order it from an overseas store to save money.

Where did you get it and how much does it cost? 7-inch or 10-inch? I wouldn't mind the 10-inch dual core version, would be very nice for my parents too.

10 inch and pricey but worth it! R3999

It is the CDMA 3G Model. You will not be able to utilize the 3G locally. WiFi (ONLY). Available immediately. WiFi only model will be available at a later stage at R6999

Planning on getting the Xoom Wifi from US and from all the importers it seems have2have is the cheapest at R6475.
Anyone have any experience with them?

I've had good dealings with Have 2 Have in the past, just not a very good overall experience with WantItAll and their after sales service.
 
Does anyone have a Xoom yet? Wasn't it suppose to be available before end of last month or something? I am going to Vodacom tomorrow for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 but was just curious who has this and what they think of it now that they actually have one.

Mine is in Joburg, but still in Customs - hope to get it tomorrow or Thursday ! Will report as soon as I get it.
