Cell C versus Vodacom: Who has the power?

Vodacom you might just find that the consumer has the power. I will port my number when this contract runs out.

I am not feeling the power Vodacrime. When was the last time Vodacom did anything good for consumers?

Vodacom is acting like a spoilt and childish bully who is not getting its way. Hope this goes Cell C's way - good to teach Vodacom a lesson. I used to be a Vodacom fan and supporter but am quite sick of their bullying antics.

“The reason for this is that its intention is to build goodwill not only in the ‘power is in your hands’ line, but in the whole ‘power’ concept. The slogan ‘power to you’ has been registered as a trademark for Cell C, and this was done prior to Vodafone/Vodacom’s applications for the same trademark,” Cell C said.

bwahahaha

if that's true, then cellc should sue voda for using their slogan :D

I was with Vodacom for 11 years until 4 weeks ago :) Never looking back.

This bullying is rubbish.

The respective legal teams of CellC/Voda/MTN must be billing some seriously crazy hours by now...

If Cell C registered the slogans then surely Voda has no foot to stand on.
Why couldn't ASA verify the statement with the registrar before handing out their ruling ?

I'm embarassed to be associated with Vodascum....6 contracts and couting down. No sense supporting such dickheads. Anyways their reception is kuk in my area. We roamimg on Cell C in my complex near the dome. What a joke.

I wish the ASA would take their fingers out of their bums. Can't they use a little common sense...for crying out loud.

This is getting a bit long in the tooth. Start with the price wars and stop fighting at ASA. On that question? Shouldn't ASA start charging for complainants that abuse ASA.

I moved from Vodacom 3G to Cell C's new 4G offering. It was great at first but has gotten progressively slower and now disconnects every few minutes. Now I wish I'd waited for Vodacom's new 3G special. At least Vodacom's 3G works and is reliable.
