HTC 7 Pro Review (MyBroadband)

Sounds like the phone wasn't a review model at all, almost like an internal test version! Oh ja, "(when they actually works)" LOL

And the answer to your question - most likely from HTC.
 
If I understand it correctly, preview and review devices are rotated between the various media outlets. TechCentral reviewed the HTC 7 Pro before MyBB did. The device probably went to them, then to MyBB, and from MyBB it will probably go to the next guys.

They get to play with the new tech, try it out and offer independent information to people who would like to buy the device. In exchange, HTC gets "free" exposure.

There are no fees involved. Nobody pays anybody anything. In some cases the media house or reviewer might get to keep the device after reviewing it. These end up being used for free giveaways, competition prizes or as a compensation to the reviewer for the amount of effort and time (or lack thereof) it takes to do a review on a device.

Most of the time the items go back. Reviewing stuff isn't as easy a job as people think. Also, most of the MyBB reviews are done by the Journalists in their own time.

lol I would expect it to have bugs and glitches if it's from Microsoft lol, I'm surprised the thing never got a BSOD during testing lol :D
 
HTC desire had the same battery issues....after upgrading to 2.2 my issues dissapeared...
maybe peeps should wait for windows mobile 8?

So how did you know where to find it to do the review?

A battery life of less than 8 hours? This must make it the smallest desktop phone/computer/etc. on the market!

Absolutely, Windows mobile could never get it right in any mobile device

They should have put Android or iOS in that device

I like it that HTC is not entirely android. Customers must have a choice, android is not for everyone. Regarding HTC, they design some of the best phones, just look at the HTC Desire HD...

Yeah I mean, look at Windows 7 for an excellent example of that.
Lol, they only sold 300 million copies. What a failure. And only 300 million in 15 months.
7 copies a second for more than a year, my grandma sells more cookies then that.

I'm amazed at how ignorant my fellow South Africans are when it comes to tech.
If it's not Linux it's not c00l.

And that's exactly why they canned Windows Mobile and created an entirely new operating system, Windows Phone.
The only thing similar about them is that they have the word Windows in and they provide phone capabilities.
 
When all is said and done, this is an HTC device that's running a Microsoft operating system, and it lives up to neither of those names.

The hardware bugs and software glitches make a mostly good device seem very rough around the edges and tarnishes two good names in the technology industry.
