Motorola Xoom coming to SA in April

I hate the know the price of this, I might have to sell my car to afford one. Knowing SA pricing

but the spokesperson for Motorola said that they're planning on launching the device across all cellular networks at competitive prices.

This tablet supports HSPA 2100mhz only.....so good luck getting it to work on Cell C :-)

Glad this is coming to RSA....hope Moto makes a come back here.

nice, this has become my tablet of choice. i have wifi everywhere i go (wifi hotspot on my htc desire) so i only need the wifi only model. glad it releases here so soon after US release.

on a side note, i miss my dear friend Proof Reading so so much :(

I've been waiting for this one. It was all the rage at the CES show in Las Vegas.

Oh, yes, lets compare spec's.
Why are there so few people that is actually looking at what these things are used for?
This http://www.tuaw.com/2011/03/03/deciding-on-a-tablet-by-comparing-specs-youve-missed-the-point/ pretty much sums it up.

Useless article. Complete Apple bias.

And then there's the Xoom. The Xoom isn't a netbook, or a netbook wanna-be. It's a computer. A big old honking computer. With a touch screen. It's what you get when you let engineers build something without designers and artists cracking the whip and instilling fear into them.

Haha, sorry but that blog is hilarious. She didn't actually compare anything, or give proper valid reasons why one UI is better than the other. Though she really wants to have Jobs' babies.

Completely biased view TBH.

I've had the opportunity to play with the iPad and also with Android 3.0 (using the SDK) and both have their own quirks. In the end, different strokes for different folks.

We need an iPad vs Xoom comparison chart.

But I still feel price will be the deciding factor over the two.

The iPad 2 is definitely better. The XOOM's software isn't even stable yet.

Ye, I agree.

If you really want a tablet now, wait for iPad 2. If you really want an Android based tablet, I'd wait a few months.

Sadly all reviews are all saying the same thing; Xoom was rushed to market.
