Speedtest broadband stats challenges in South Africa

Yes - there is a problem with the entire internet network.

What we get are excuses or theoretical answers from the service providers and they are just not happy with the real world results that get thrown at them. I am paying for 4Mbps on demand, not 'in theory you have a 4 Mbps' connection.

Can you imagine the outcry from service providers if we paid them irratically? In theory they got the full amount but I had a little conjestion with my cashflow. And I shaped the rands you thought you'd get into Zim dollars.
 
They should focus on Pricetest.net or Ripofftest.net instead, I am sure Vodacom will come out tops then.
 
I think I should pay my ISP for the speeds I get. If my monthly average speed on my 4mb line doesn't go over 2mb, I think I should only pay 50%. Lets see how quickly they jump up and down then?

Uh, is that so. So when I slip my Vodacom SIM into my Cell C 21mbps USB modem - how come my speeds drop from 9pmbs to 1.1mbs?

Pull the other one, laying poor network performance on the hardware is typical BS from Vodacom.

Incidentally, I live about 150m from a Vodacom cell, so no breathing excuses please....

We have the fastest mobile service, we cannot prove it, but yes, ours is faster than CellC - take our word (and technical explanation) for it. Our prices are pathetic, but that is not open for discussion.

I have just moved Vodacom to the top of my list of boycotts, just beating Julius into 2nd.
