Telkom responds to uncapped 20 Mbps ADSL rumours

New Telkom CEO Pinky Moholi explains their broadband and ADSL plans, including a potential uncapped ADSL offering

F1ve_Claw · Mar 17, 2011

Nice, they didnt even bother to make false promises

optel · Mar 17, 2011

ok then.

marine1 · Mar 17, 2011

Different leader same crap

Murmaider · Mar 17, 2011

u know a company is backward when 20mb is considered far beyond NGN...

marine1 · Mar 17, 2011

20mb? And 5 mb? 4mb is barely working stable

Mike Hoxbig · Mar 17, 2011

Big surprise

We don't need bloody 20 Mbps, we need 384k and 512k to be done away with!

Masu · Mar 17, 2011

Whats the point of boosting speeds to 20Mbps without also offering some sort of reasonable uncapped offering. Even now with 10Mbps if you want to go with MWeb for instance you have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for higher speeds uncapped.
You can have an unlimited speed but if there are no reasonable uncapped packages offered to accomodate that speed what is the point.

well at least the new CEO is talking even if she hasn't said anything worthwhile

freeek · Mar 17, 2011

I want my 10mb line! I am in a major city (cape town), people on 10mb can wait for 20mb! feebs!

LabAnimal · Mar 17, 2011

IvanRSA · Mar 17, 2011

Sigh...

ajax · Mar 17, 2011

We need duplicate line rentals done away with.

Prof.Merlin · Mar 17, 2011

so on a 20mbit line, 5 gig will go in 33 minutes. YAY!

Juice · Mar 17, 2011

Moholi however said that ADSL and broadband remains a priority for Telkom

Of course! It's the only area where Telkom knows how to compete: without a competitor!!!
