Warning - Short game times

Ok, I'm posting this because I just finished Medal of Honour (2010). I bought it during the EA special on steam recently as I enjoy fps and been wanting to give it a go.

The game got off well, graphics weren't bad, gameplay was good, cool scripting etc , was really enjoying it. Then I get to the final part and it's like, Heh, is that it? Four hours of std gameplay? Thats not even trying to be a moron and rush through a game, thats actually taking it normally and enjoying it. Seriously? Four freaking hours!

So to stop or at least warn people about this type of bad experience, I'd like to get a thread going of games that are well hyped but are too short, basically leaving you feeling cheated. Let me begin:

Medal of Honour (2010) - Good game but way too short.
Terminator Salvation - Not the greatest of games but not bad, also short four hours
Homefront
Fable III
Section 8: Prejudice
GOW 3
StarWars Commando

MOH SP is short as hell, although the MP weren't all that bad, contrary to most people's experience, I kinda enjoyed it.
But I think FPS games being developed today are more aimed at the MP experience than the SP, so SP gets skipped and skimmed alot.
 
All the COD games are to short.

If you want I FPS that has a long game time, play Crisis 1. (Not to sure about the later Crisis, I haven't played it yet).

I've played most fps - CODs 1,2,5,BOPS , Medal of Honours , Half-lifes, Battlefields etc. None of them were this short. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the game but for four hours of gameplay? Comeon, most fps are longer than that. I would say that a fps is normally round 8hrs gameplay. Less than that and I'm definately feeling robbed. Also just compare this title to the other MOH's, I guarantee you its far far shorter.

Agreed. Battlefield: Bad Company SP was the same. I finished that in 6 hours. Currently playing CoD5 WaW again for fun and it's taking an age! The games (especially the FPS') of today are definitely aimed at the online fraternity.
 
oh yeah old games like Half life 1 and Deus ex. Takes a week to finish for the first timer :)

Thats when you're playing more than 5 hours a day lol
Wish I could get amnesia and re discover deus ex. What a trip!

I was seriously disappointed with the duration of Homefront, felt totally ripped off. Crysis 2 much better, onto my second run through already.
 
I'd like to add one : Fable 3 for PC

I'm not a pro gamer, and yet it only took me 21 hours play time to complete the main story, buy out probably every property available,be the good guy,ach, and now the game is kinda moot :( There is still some unlockables I need to complete, but now the game has lost its flare for me. And I've never even played this game before.

Was fun though, just wish it lasted longer.

Isn't fable 3 a rpg of some sort? I remember playing Morrowind for about eight hours and not even getting anywhere really :P Short times on a rpg are really annoying.
 
Section 8 Prejudice,5hours and it ends abruptly.../disappoint

Yup rpg/adventure type of thing. First game from Lionhead that i'm disappointed in (bloody microsoft lol). Bethesda still reigns supreme in my books with Morrowind/Oblivion :p

I remember it as an awesome game... got into it and just as your getting into the idea of being a clone. The game ends as quickly as it started.
