*Uncapped limited to 10gb per month

[Mod Note: Just a joke]

At a cloud seminar attended by Mweb ceo, he confirmed that it is uncapped on the packages mentioned. He felt that as bandwidth was no longer a major expense, it makes sense to have a single fixed price. It also makes it simpler for a client to budget...

Bloody awesome news. I just bought 2 servers in the US solely for the purpose of high bandwidth caps. Last I checked the lite model offered like 10GB on a dedicated server?? Like WTF??

Now only if you guys released this like a week ago you would have had a customer x 2 servers :)

Actually got a board meeting today to decide on who to host servers for us. Mweb is looking like a big possibility.

Are there still peering issues with Saix?

There is still no local peering at all between MWeb and SAIX.

This is great news for businesses! Of course i assume that anyone who tried to run a seedbox on one of these things is going to be unhappy very quickly!

A bit in the right direction but unfortunately won't benefit the mass market. Need high cap or uncapped for shared hosting as well to benefit the ordinary user like their adsl has benefitted the ordinary user.

Business Opportunity!
1.. Rent an uncapped server
2.. Install Plesk/Cpanel
3.. Profit!

I don't know why anyone would spend so much on a seedbox when unlimited usenet access from a world-class server is $11/mo and works great on mweb uncapped.

I'm still of the opioning that there needs to be something like the Virtual Private Servers in this arena like with for instance www.vps.com. There needs to be just something a little bit cheaper in SA.... then they will get most of users hosting on vps solutions out of country... Just my 2cents. :o

@elvis & @pieter!!! Spot on chaps... Finally SA is catching up....

Now lets see what MTN, Vodacom, IS and Telsuck have to offer....

I've been running cpanels, plesk, custom netfx server configs for years.... And never once in my life have I bothered to host locally purely coz its too expensive. And I would love local servers for latency and speed issues.....

THANK YOU MWEB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
