Short and sweet. G9x or RAT 7?

Spending your hard earned money already? :p

I vote for the R.A.T :D Wanna get one as well at some point

G9x, it's all you'll ever need. Less complicated, better build quality, drivers you can trust with excellent macro customization. The bonus of two grips is also decent.

Any one of the usual suspects keeping the RAT in stock ?

I have the R.A.T7 and would definately recommend it! well worth the price you pay for it. But i have heard of ppl having issues with the laser going after a while. i have had mine for almost 6 months now and have not had any problems with it.

PS there was a guy on mygaming wanting to sell his unopend RAT7 for R650( he won it in a competition and cant use it as he is lefthanded)

AFAIK that was sold already.

Thing is, I've felt the G9 and I like it. Prefer its lower profile to my G5.

But the RAT just has such a "want" factor. If I buy the Logitech now, I'll probably still want the RAT, slightly. :p :(

oh OK I thought it would sell quickly at the price he was offering. I like the RAT because of its customisation, and im a bit of a gadget person also and this is a mouse not everyone has, so its always a talking point at LAN's. :D

Or just buy the G9 because you know its better :)

Leaning towards the RAT 7... :(

Because both are relatively low prifile. And I know if I get the G9, I will still "want" the RAT 7... :(

There's your answer then, your heart has won this one.

Decided on the G9x. Better build, better sensor, better warranty.

Going to wait for something else from Mad Catz while I explain to my heart that the RATs are a tad gimmicky and build quality isn't the best.

Anyone who disagrees with me, speak now or forever hold your peace. :p :D

Had the G9x and hated every second of it. Very flat and very uncomfortable. Sold it and got the RAT7 and love the little critter to bits :)

SANITY PREVAILS!

Good job, you won't regret it. Now buy yourself an expensive mouse-pad to make yourself feel better :)

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! :p

All personal preference, but honestly I think you would prefer the RAT. It is a epic little mouse.

The G9x I found horribly uncomfortable, especially for FPS games. It just never felt comfortable in the hand. I don't have the biggest hands around, but I would hate to see someone with big hands try use it.

Edit: A question: Do you use the palm or claw style grip when using a mouse? Personally I found you can only use the G9 for claw style.

Would you say your hand size is average, smaller than average, or bigger than average?

I felt the G9x and loved it. Very similar to my G5 but not as tall. Obviously a lot of it comes down to personal preferance, and genetics to an extent. :p :D:D
