Thought I'd share this info .... on one of the group buying sites Dealify you can buy a DSTV Drifta (until end of 13/07) for ... get this R299 (including delivery) !!! Not specifically an iPhone related post but is of interest to know as it is a really great deal.

looks like a great deal, is DSTV drifta worth it though? Are things like rugby on it?
 
Just be aware that the Drifta does not work with Android, Symbian (mainly Nokia) or Mac OSX.

Or with jailbroken iPad / iPod / iPhone.
 
Check the channels you can get on http://www.dstvmobile.com/ but yes you can get SuperSport 1,2,3 so Rugby is covered there as is almost always on SS1. Small note: if your iPhone is JailBroken the app won't work (they have hardcoded it not to "to protect their content"), there are patched versions but just check other threads for info if that applies to you.
 
I read somewhere yesterday that there is an app called Tivit that does the same as the Drita software that apparently works on iOS devices, I can't confirm that info though.

ya i send here the confirmation to show her i saved money hehehehehe and she was okay with that but she wasn't with the kalahari purchase at full price even thou i used my e-bucks heheheheheheh

Ofcourse it works with Jailbroken Phones, all you have to do is download the cracked version of the Drita app and all is perfect. I have been using my drifta with my jailbroken iOS devices since the drifta was released.
 
Is there any way to get it to work on an Android phone?

I would assume you keep it till they deliver it. Then just show the coupon as proof of purchase.

Any idea where one can download the latest s/w for jailbroken phones to allow one to use the drifta?
