So go with the month to month options, start with one of the lower packages just to test it out and so you don’t end up with 10gb's and the signal sucks. Then if you are happy with it upgrade your package, if you are not, then cancel and sell the modem.
I opted to go with payments from my credit card instead of a debit order (someone suggested it was less problematic). Also on month-to-month and glad of it for the flexibility but otherwise happy with the product (would love the VAS to be cheaper but that's another issue).Do they need my banking details? I heard their billing system is problematic.
The coverage seems to be poor on my new address. Oh well.
Just saw their modems:
USB = R1699
Desktop = R2399
Express = R2439
2MB = R3499
Is this really true?
I checked on their coverage map and a meters (about 300m) from my street seems to be good, but not on mineiBurst offices are located in Bryanston, so I should think they would have good signal there.

I got my desktop modem secondhand for R500 last year. Also with the 2Mb modems available some people are selling 1Mb modems. Apart from Gumtree (which is where I got mine) there is also an "Iburst flea market" sticky on this forum which is worth checking out..You can buy a second hand desktop modem on Gumtree for around R1500.

As a 6 year long customer I must say, I love my Iburst, for better or worse. All of them I've spent in Pretoria and here I've never encountered any signal issues, so my service has for the most part been perfect. It's only in Rustenburg that I've had a little signal issues but meh. Through all the years that I've spend with other ppl braging about their telkom connections and then ofcourse moaning about conection issues with stolen cables etc I feel at the end of the day I'm still smiling with my 'ol wireless modem.
I've just switched to the something10+ option and I feel 20/month is a certain thumbs up from me =D Month to month is quite allot of security to have as well, do it, you already have the modem. Once you get everything sorted out and setup I'm sure the rest will be a breeze.
Good luck!
Maybe it's time for ME to upgrade teh modem, no...?
