Vodacom Apple iPhone 4S pricing

so its cheaper to take the business contract with no minutes, than it is to buy the phone out right... you get terms, and its cheaper? Does that make any sense? I see a lot of people paying 299 per month just for the phone.

These are very good packages, the last time the iPhone 4 came out, MTN had the best deals.

This time around, Vodacom is the winner. wish I was on Vodacom Network right now!

Its a disappointment to see these higher prices frm Vodacom.
I had iphne4 on top up 275, that's R275 airtime every mnth and 110mb 4 R389!
Now for R399 u jus get a fancy paperweight.

Are these phones locked? If not the Business Call deal is cheaper than the outright purchase price.

Paying something off always costs more.
If you want to pay it off then it'll cost even more than R7700 because you'll have to take out a personal loan or put it on a credit card.

What does the business package comprise of? Is it just the phone for R299 p/m?
According to the Vodacom site they're throwing in 100Mb data per month, but otherwise that contract comes with nothing and they bill calls by the minute. The only reason I can see for the contract to even still exist is as a way for someone to pay off a phone.

I have one - I mainly receive calls, however I use the Vodafone passport when travelling internationaly, plus you get a (partially) subsidised phone to boot (I normally pay in the difference).

In this case the phone works out slightly cheaper than buying it outright and that's the only reason I can see for this contract. Why would anyone pay R185 a month for the contract itself? It doesn't even offer cheap rates.
