Web Africa ADSL network scheduled for maintenance tonight (20 Jan 2012)

Well at least they are not just blaming it on Telkom, like the rest do :P
 
On a Friday night at fecking 9 pm, you got to be kidding ffs.
 
wtf, come on, i was gonna stay home and game tonight!
 
Would it kill WA to give us a heads up with an email saying maintenance tonight?

I dont appreciate having to find out about this through other channels.
 
Guess I finally found a use for the free ADSL data FNB gives every month.
 
its not 9pm yet, and my speeds have started dropping.

why couldn't they schedule it from midnight?
 
Whatever the eff they did, my line is slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter. :mad:

Hope the network maintenance wasn't too disruptive!
The email notifications have been brought up before, but lemme see what I can do to get these type of things setup :)

In the mean time though, network maintenance, outages etc can be viewed via:

  • MyBB
  • Call Centre IVR

I know it's not ideal to track these platforms yourselves, however for the moment we are making every effort to broadcast the news. What you guys can do, is setup an RSS feed and push this URL through which will notify when and if anything changes on our Status Page http://www.webafrica.co.za/ClientAlerts/rssServerFeed.xml
 
Nice timing.. exactly when people are gonna try using the last of their cap...
 
Guys the maintenance is long gone, it took place on the 20th - so you can still use the rest of your cap tonight :p
