Hi all,
This month until the 17th MTN has the HTC Desire S for R 89 pm on Anytime 100?

What do you think? Is it a steal or a great deal?? If anyone's got any inside information, you can just say wait a little longer ;)
 
Sounds like a great deal to me! Do you perhaps have a link?
 
Looking very, very nice. :) Does anyone have an idea of what Android version can be run (Official or otherwise) ?

Will definitely be recommending this one a bit... awesome value for money imho.
 
Watch out people

This model is known to have a defective emmc and htc not accepting it as warranty repairs. So it is a bit of an issue for those of us who want to root it. Even those produced as late as november last year carry the issue.

Its a great phone for a light user though.

I spoke to the mtn guy and he said we should look forward to more contracts like these since the marlet is down and they are trying to push out phones! Maybe Galaxy S next month for R 110!
 
Sorry, I realise this is a stupid question, but just to confirm - you would be able to use this phone with a Vodacom sim card, correct?
 
Dammit man they always bloody do this. I upgrade and then 2 months later they bloody release a good special which is what I was looking for.

I hate you MTN.
