e-Tolling costs outlined

And every year the price will increase. If we accept these eTolls chances are in two years' time we will be paying R1 per km. Down with eTolling!!!!

SANRAL can gladly collect their toll ... at my poephol. Cos that's all they are gonna get from me.
 
So if there is a Cap, why bother with an e-tag if it is not going to save you any money.

Do these tollgates work using number plate recognition? How do they know what cars are passing by?

And then, is there a way to blind them? 1 million candle power torch to the camera? :D

There is no outlined plan stting that this is active for four year etc etc.

Fsck etag, Fsck SANRAL as they are just as corrupt as the rest of the gouvernment.

Ps If you install an etag, do not come moaning when ALL prices (food, etc etc) prices go up.

So a week and a half after the new rates were publicly announced they are still to update their website and toll calculator. And these okes want to use new technology to toll us??? This is going to turn out amusing...
 
R5.8 billion bailout?! Why didn't they just spend that on better public transport in the first place? Tools..

The same can be said for ESKOM's new power stations.
 
SANRAL can send me a bill, together with a website or similar where I can go an verify that it was my car that passed under the gantry - then I will pay. Otherwise, I will lodge dispute after dispute.

As for getting an e-tag and making SANRAL's life a breeze....ditto below:

The prices were probably halved recently to get us used to the system, and then somewhere in the not too distant future it will be raised to the original prices, or even higher.

All these blokes that are throwing out their toys and saying that they won't pay are farting into the wind. We know you will pay, because that is what people do once a few drivers have been pulled out of their vehicles as examples for the rest of the non-payers.
 
If you Joburgers all stood together for once, you can shoot this down. If NOBODY complies with this, and NOBODY pays the bills that get sent to them....what can govt or SANRL do ? They certainly don't have the courts or judges to handle 1 million people.

Also, if you pay the fees, it will mean that food prices and all other goods that are delivered by road (which is almost everything) will go up in price significantly. You will be taxed twice

This is not a time to be apathetic.....unity is strength
