R8,849 for the Note? Ultrabooks with i3 processors can be sourced at this pricing.

Am i the only one who does not see the point of bringing out 2 identical sized devices with only minor differences?

If the naming is anything to go by the devices are the same size, but totally different in that the Note is a phone and the Galaxy Tab 2 is "only" a tablet.

The Note 10.1 has a price and launch window, the Galaxy Tab 2's have just a launch window. Headline and excerpt space is limited, but I'm happy to accept suggestions to improve future ones if you have any.

Take into account that the following need to be mentioned so that people who may not have background info on these devices understand what the article is about: Samsung Galaxy; Tab 2; Note / Note 10.1; Android; tablet PC; launch window(s); pricing; in SA.

Or maybe not. It seems the big difference with the Note 10.1 is that it stands out from other Android tablets by being built specifically to draw or write on.

If Apple can do it, the other tablets probably hope they can do it.

They had pre-orders and folks selling their old units before they knew anything about the new device.

There is one major positive out of this , expect the older versions to drop in price ;)

Lol fail article about pricing with no pricing?! wth?

As for those wanting to know whats the difference well its all about the s-pen,press light it draws a light line press harder it draws a darker line so it pressure sensitive......great for content creation or for artsy types....

But it's not using Wacom technology anymore as far as I understand it? Just going back to a capacitive display which is hardly very accurate for drawing.

Majority of the sites I've been to say its a wacom digitizer with an even more accurate digitizer and wider wacom s-pen than the original note so mind sharing where you got the info from that it isn't using wacom?

I wasn't sure hence the question mark. The reference to the Note stylus not being as accurate as a dedicated Wacom tablet comes from another thread about the Galaxy Note Tab, I'll try find it.

3Mp camera? That is awesome for 2001 :( Samsung should be improving specs, not going backwards. The original Galaxy Tab series have better specs if i am correct.... Bring on the Asus Infinity!
