Apple's iPhone 5 screen made by Sony - report

Xperia S we been having it.

Woot, well I doubt Apple would use the LCD tech but as the angle limitation will be seen as a negative by most people, for me its a big plus as I dont want people across the table to see what I am doing on my phone.

Don't make excuses for Sony's poor performance in the display department! They rested on their laurels (and their name) while other companies were innovating.

They caught enough people who bought Bravias (almost like people buying white Toyota Corollas) for top dollar, only to walk past a Samsung display shop and experience a mini heart attack on the spot. :p

Erm bravia has nothing to do with the IPS vs LCD debate, so dont know who rattled your chain. :p

I don't see how viewing angles on a smartphone would be an issue. We generally use them looking at them head on..

Believe it or not some people have issues with it. Like I said for me the lack of 180 degree is a feature.

So the mobile displays are not utilizing the Bravia Engine?

Bravia Engine is software not hardware, the Bravia tech is not, from what I understand is you can use the engine outside the tech for instance Bravia engine on iPS screens ot OLED screens or in this case LCD screens?
