It isn't a problem in the same way that not unbundling the local loop is not a problem. Not to fearmonger but at some point someone has to stand up and say, holy crapper, we are running out of space and we need to do something about this.

I get the feeling that while most major local ISPs take the issue in a serious light there is also a feeling that "Don't worry, we can just NAT it" and "We've still got a lot of available adresses". NAT is broken and if you believe it is the answer then you are wrong.

In any case, if you receive ipv6 addresses from your ISP you are very lucky. Some "leading" universities in our country are still too anal to implement it.

+1 Hopefully the bitstream plan in November will allow ISPs to deliver IPv6 to clients directly, I can see a lot of support issues with old ADSL modems though...

Very embarrassing for a UNIVERSITY to not be embracing IPv6, what the hell are they teaching them in the Engineering courses anyway?
