Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone from Afrihost or Vumatel networking can help me clarify an IPv6 issue on my fibre line.
Setup:
ISP: Afrihost
FNO: Vumatel
Infrastructure appears to be GPON/IPoE (DHCP-based)
Router: Cudy WR3000
IPv4 works perfectly
I’ve enabled IPv6 on the router using...
In short, is it actually literally impossible to have a stable IPv6 PD and a non-NAT static IP with Openserve?
There's a bit of a preamble for this. I have recently had tremendous trouble with Vumatel in my area, where the service would go down for hours, almost weekly. Frustrated with this, I...
I have set up a wordpress site on a raspberry pi - but due to cgNAT I can't get Cloudflare to point at the raspberry pi. Webafrica says they don't offer static IPs, they refuse to remove the cgNAT and don't offer IPv6.
Getting this basic info from WebAfrica took 2 agonising weeks.
I don't want...
(Apologies for the wall of text, but just trying to list everything I've discovered / tried so far ...)
I'm trying to to get my friend to connect to my Valheim dedicated server (previously hosted successfully with a friend in Sweden, but on they're holiday for a while). So far he has been...
I just asked six different South African VPS providers if they could give me a server with an IPv6 address. All six said "no", they only do IPv4. Now I'm wondering if I have somehow teleported back to pre-2012... :(
I'm sure some of the enterprise, private cloud-type providers can do this. But...
ive been keen on trying ipv6 and since almost none of the local isp's yet support this for their customers, i resorted to getting a tunnel going with Hurrican Electric. They have a local tunnel server to which you can termite sessions to.
The problem however is quite bad in that none of the...
Good day,
So Vumatel is rolling out in my region, and I've been checking this situation with https://atlas.ripe.net/measurements/14787598/#!probes after I've had fall outs with VoX that doesn't want to route locally to tserv1.jnb1.he.net (only via London... it's a management decision... been...
Hi there,
As OVH got hit by a RIPE IPv4 shortage since Dec 2016, I'll need to start preparing my clients for IPv6 to these/their services, and the question inadvertently come up:
Which Mobile providers are provisioning IPv6 for their 3g/LTE/etc. devices?
Most major web companies have all agreed to permanently enable the new protocol on their products and services by June 2012.

I'm starting to work quite heavily with IPv6, and I'd like a test connection to the IPv6 Internet through an IPv6 enabled ISP.
Does anyone have any contacts with any ISP's that could I could call to arrange a test IPv6 DSL, ISDN, Dial-Up, 3G or whatever connection?
Also, can anyone...
IPv4 addresses have run dry
A few hours ago, the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) allocated the last 2 free batches of IPv4 addresses to APNIC, regional Internet registry of the Asia Pacific.
Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is a version of the Internet Protocol that is designed to succeed Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4). IPv4 was the first publicly used Internet Protocol and has been in operation since 1981.
IPv6 is an Internet Layer protocol for packet-switched...
