Hi folks

The other MWEB Uncapped ADSL feedback thread became a bit long, and hence we started this one.

Please use this thread in future to discuss MWEB’s ADSL services and network issues.

Hi Shuyin

I have refreshed your account. Please also ask Telkom to recreate the port and test after that.

Hi Ecco

Once you gets the results, please also send me your MWEB account details.

Do ping & tracert's also to any international & local site.

Edit: Have you perhaps tried rebooting router?

I rebooted the router.

Ping International cnn.com: a 4 packets fail, destination unavailable
Ping local mybroadband.co.za: 2 packets failed, average 2790ms

Speedtest result to JHB (based on ping) 5568ms, download 0.04Mbs, upload 0.01Mbs

@MWEBGUY
Telkom tech was here, something official (I forget what) on a pole nearby has a bad connection and needs to be replaced. The kicker though, hours after we went here/there/everywhere trying to get to the bottom of my loosing connection I for some or other reason plugged in my ethernet cable into another port at the back of the router and everything suddenly just worked. So I am feeling embarrassed but happy.... now at least they know of that thing that needs to be replaced though.
