Absa Rewards

It used to be free. Then they cancelled it and relaunched it but now you have to pay for it. I refuse to pay for a loyalty program.

R20

Useless.

Have it for two years about and I have the MTN "reward" which is the biggest reward there and I think I only saved as much as I paid so far

Had it. Didn't really shop at any of the places that offered rewards. Cancelled it.

Useless unless you shop a **** load at the SELECTED places, canceled mine after 2 months, because the call center agent told me I could swipe my card ANYWHERE, con artists I tell you:erm:

Stay away from ABSA; they charge exorbitant fees for just about everything.

This will not end well.

Had a call from them just 2 minutes ago.

I told them I've made it a policy not to make financial decisions over the telephone.

I pay...I'm not sure why though :) They called a few months ago and I said ok I'll try it out. I'm kind of breaking even since I make back around R21 per month. Not really worth it but at the same time, no harm done.

It was nicer when they had the 10% back with MTNSP, meaning I always got 10% back on my monthly MTN contract.

I have made like R30 in 3 months, I spose it better than a kick in the balls but if the admin outweighs the rewards I'm dumping it. It really doesn't seem hugely beneficial at this rate. I think a piggy bank would accrue money faster.

It used to be free. FNB is still free. I'm with both banks, guess which card I use ...

I made R89 in a month and half. mostly from filling up from Sasol. I am monitoring the progress closely.

How much do people earn in Rand equivalent on average with eBucks? I almost have R500 in ABSA Cash Rewards which I can transfer to any account. I used my cash rewards from last year, so the R500 bucks is from this year alone.

I don't trouble myself by going to specific shops. I just use my Cheque card wherever I can. Each swipe earns you some money back.

I get about R120 back a month. Also not making any effort to go to specific shops where I get more reward.

Got the Rand equivalent of R2090 in eBucks last month (July), after I got serious about maximising my earn. Prior to that my average over the last 9 months was about R900 equivalent a month.

My eBucks for last month got me a R3500 Makro voucher. On level 5 so get 40% off Makro vouchers.

And with no effort, only swiping my cheque card.
