Hi all,

I am currently using Cucusoft Netguard, which seemed to work great, but I am noticing that it misses some Chrome downloads.

Are there any other reliable bandwidth monitors for personal use which measures ALL bandwidth you are using like netguard?

Thanks.

I use Netlimiter 2 Pro (forced install under compatibility options for Win7) there is a Ver 3 but I found it to be bloody slow when generating stats. I prefer 2.

+1 on Netlimiter [3]. It's by far the best one I've seen or used.

NetLimiter 3 sux. I own a legal copy of both 2 & 3, and version 2 is definitely superior to v3!

With NL3 you cannot limit Internet traffic separately from the LAN traffic. Secondly, the stats on NL2 is just better + you can grant applications minimum speeds too.

You simply create filters. Ive been doing (and rate limiting) that for a while.

Eish!!
Thanks froot. Now I can actually get some use out of NL3.

I suppose now NL3 is better than NL2 ;)

Can someone please tell me if there is a way to measure the bandwidth usage on a chrome tab?

Say you have 5 tabs open, the software will tell you how many bandwidth have been consumed in a certain period?

I've found netlimiter to cause problems sometimes.

One of our clients was using it about a year ago and it caused the system to blue screen for some odd reason

Hi,
From a historic perspective my ISP provides reports on daily bandwidth down and up but I presume you want something that is dynamic and showing you spikes in usage?
Networx is simple to install and use.
I did a bit of scratching around and Firewall Analyzer might assist. You can have a look at it here
I haven't used it but someone on the forum may have in which case please let us have your experiences.

Regards

Tim

I wanted to be able to compare my own bandwidth usage to that of MTNSP and also VODACOM as my bandwidth always runs out fairly quickly, and I wanted software to see which app/process uses the bandwidth.

I have installed Networx, and although easy to use, I could not find functionality to be able to see bandwidth usage per app/process on my pc. I might have overlooked it, could you please confirm?

I have been using netlimiter 3.0, and so far it has not crashed, and seems to give accurate stats, and also gives bandwidth per process.

Thanks
