Cheap home printer

Or alternatively look for a 2hnd Pantum that uses the genric Pantum PC210 Compatible Toner Cartridge
Compatible with these Pantum printers :
P2200, P2500, P2500W, M6500, M6500N, M6500W, M6500NW, M6550, M6550N, M6550W, M6550NW, M6600, M6600N, M6600W, and M6600NW printers.
Managed to grab a used Pantum that takes the P210 cartridge for R500.
Included a cartridge as well.
Might have got myself a bargain boys.

Nice, I hope it works flawlessly for years to come.

this was nice breakdown.

Hi guys

I am looking for a cheap home printer to use after work to print reading material on demand, as I look at screen at work all day.

Never really had a printer before so I think my needs are modest:
Reliable
Cheap
Cheap print costs
Black printing only
WiFi would be nice

So is laser better? Which brands are good?

If I am willing to used can I get something for R500 or less?

Thanks

For what it's worth, I would recommend Canon Ink refill printers, I never had a problem with it, does muck around on ink, extremely cheap OEM ink, it's all rounder, had a Epson laser before that, well everyone know it went to the bin

I've got a HP MFP Laser Colour needs new cartridges, new set of X (the big capacity ones) around 9k.
So i've taken the dive bought a Epson EcoTank L6490 basically the same price plus the included ink.
Do a fair amount of scanning and HP scanner pretty quick and has Scan to Mail on own SMTP which is a must for me.
The refills are just to much to justify theses days so hopping the eco tank will prove to be a win.
Needed Auto Duplex printing, colour, scan to email with own SMTP, ethernet and Auto Duplex scanning as nice.
Besides the last the eco tank ticked all the boxes, getting delivered tomorrow so will see how it goes.

i wouldnt use refils on ink catridges its a temporary thing and reusing those heads ...no thanks

the catridges are quiet expensive provide few pages compared to ink tank.

my thought here is you dont want to spend too much now but if you in no rush save up for ink tank you wont regret it. that or use a payment method like a BuyNowPayLater with 0% interest etc.

but its cheaper to buy a inkjet printer than it is to replace the ink....in A way
