Anyone else having problems downloading using the saix address? It has been like this the last couple of days.
 
Have not tested the exact times, but it has always been after 6.
 
They usually shape between 8 and 6. Supposed to fly after that. I usually download late only to avoid the stupid download limits...
 
Correct, but it refuses to connect. Unless the server details have recently changed which I doubt.
 
Got the same issue... Using 8ta... Called saix. They say news.saix.net is working.
 
Damn, no clue then. It won't even work now, yet the IS news server does work.
 
started dl almost 12 last night with no problem. did stop almost at the end but luckily started after a while again.

SAIX still won't connect ... Connection timed out.
As for the support at the 8ta call center ... Makes me realize that we get what we pay for.
Now wish I wasn't tied to them by contract.
 
Sigh. Is there any support on this? Calling 081183 just gets me a reference number.
Perhaps it's a setting on the pc that I got wrong. It used to work, but not in the past 2 weeks.

using 119 for your port? what software you using to download? is your other browsing fine? can you download http stuff?

As per the other news server thread, we have responded with the following:
We have been interacting with SAIX since these threads have requested it and they have agreed to allow 8ta to use news.saix.net and we are not sure when the firewall changes will be implemented, but this will be soon. We will be testing this week and let you know.

Strange how you say that they have now allowed 8ta to use SAIX when for months it has been working perfectly fine until the start of this thread.
 
Yep. Have been on them since last year! What has changed the the last time? Didn't they know we had access?

Don't ask 8ta to investigate these thing, it could be human factor, or clever technician optimising settings due to the atchitectural changes, many possibilities.

Hi there

The IP ranges we have was not all included in the firewall access configuration. We have requested them to update this with our IP ranges in order to allow all 8ta users to access it.

8ta informed us they looking at it. concern yourself with your own issues. dont dictate to me.

8ta i have a connection to the server but cant initiate downloads anymore. almost 2 weeks now. any updates available?
