Cell C data network issue explained

Glad they cleared this up and resolved the matter.
The transparency is appreciated.

A Cell C spokesperson said that the transmitter caused interference in their 3G frequency band and that they were informed that the faulty transmitter was Sentech’s

Cell C used the word "purportedly" in their response to me with regards to Sentech operating the transmitter. I'm still waiting on Sentech's response as to whether it is theirs and what exactly went wrong.
 
Cell C emphasised that its network was fully functional throughout and that it didn’t experience any outage.
Really? I haven't had network coverage since Saturday night...
 
Here's the feedback from Sentech, for those interested:

Kindly note that SENTECH had installed a Studio to Transmitter link from the Cape Pulpit Studios via Table Mountain to our Medium Wave Facility located at Klipheuwel. The installation then caused interference to some of Cell C’s links due to a faulty amplifier. Upon notification of the problem, SENTECH immediately replaced the faulty amplifier and Cell C’s links were restored.
