Yes this question has been asked a million times but all are different to what I want!

My Netgear Router can Save up to 8 different account's details:
NETGEAR%201.jpg

Now if I type in ACCOUNT 1 details into WAN1, and apply it connects and I get an IP adress

But when I click WAN2 with ACCOUNT 2 details and apply, there is no IP adress:
NETGEAR%202.jpg

It does save the details but it never uses anyone else except WAN1!

AFAIK it should just be apply WAN2 when I apply WAN2 but it always connects through WAN1

Any suggestions?

Oh and I know about dialing a connection from my PC but I have Phones, Laptops and Tablets connecting via WIFI!

I have three accounts and would like to just SELECT and APPLY, new connection!

Thanks

Even though you might've read many threads/posts on this subject, this is probably the best description & closest you'll get to what you want : (post # 9)

I think it primarily depends on whether your modem/router supports the equivalent of the PPPoE Passthrough function (like the D-Link ones do).

That way, with some fiddling around, you'll have Wi-Fi for all your gadgets through the main connection on the modem/router, and can dial-up for anything else via 2nd (or more) connection/s, on the PC.

You want a router that supports Bridge or half bridge mode.

Half bridge is the best, you can set an account on the router as well as have each PC dial up their own connection.

I haven't worked with multiple WAN ports but from what I understand each port on the router can acts as a different WAN port. The problem then is that I don't think they will be on the LAN, this could be an issue for you.

I forgot to mention this, but based on the setup I have, half-bridge is pre-requisite to getting it set up correctly. (even the cheapest D-Link has this available).

In addition to bridge/half-bridge, the passthrough option is needed.

To my knowledge, bridge will only allow dialing multiple connections from the PC, but will not pick up a connection setup in the router, for something trying to connect via Wi-Fi - that was my experience, anyway.

Cool thanks.. I will just add each account as the MAIN one and save the config file, then just flash the config file with the account I want!

This does exactly what I want, so only solution for now

Thanks
