South Africa's biggest ADSL bandwidth hogs

I'm on Axxess Uncapped 1mbps and and can't even go a few GB's without being managed, how in the world does that guy kill 2.2TB in a month?! :(

About 120GB's, and the only reason I did that much was back in March when Afrihost (so Axxess as well) unshaped everyone for about 8-9 days and i did close to a 100GB's in that time, after that it's been fairly low usage because of the whole managed status
 
Maybe it's the same customer across all of the ADSL ISPs (the State Security Agency spying on everyone else).

at 2TB a month, every month - someone is downloading more than they can consume. Thats just plain stupid.

Had to replace my photo collection (stored online) and went rampant on Steam games and logged just over 440GB on a 2Mb line. 3 days before month-end I had nothing left to do with my adsl line.

Where I come from, you're a bandwidth hog if you rack up 1TB+ on a 4Mb line.
 
Lol guys these are business accounts, of course they will out class you in downloads, they are more expensive accounts anyway.

You will get shaped and managed if you abuse your private residence account.
 
Unless you are using the line for something productive like hosting a website or online backups there is no logical reason for anyone to use that much data.

Even if you download movies in 1080p, the reality is that there are only 24 hours in a day, and you will not have the time to watch it all.

If you do, that means you have no life in the real world outside of a computer and that is just sad.

Some of them. The top list is residential, the bottom is business ;)
 
Likewise. 10mb uncapped here, sitting on a huge 35gig for the month and I am managed.
Spend most of the month managed, every month, and I average about 200gig a month.

But in their defence, the service quality doesn't drop much when its managed.

It's like an all you can eat buffet. If you eat 20 times what the average person eats well then you're a gluttonous hog.
