The Nexus 5 is a high-end smartphone produced by LG Electronics. Unveiled on October 31, 2013 and released for online orders on Google Play Store the same day, the device is part of the Nexus series of flagship Android devices developed in conjunction with and marketed by Google. The Nexus 5 directly succeeds the Nexus 4, a similar flagship device that LG released in 2012.
The Nexus 5's hardware is similar to that of the LG G2, with a Snapdragon 800 system-on-chip, a 4.95-inch 1080p screen. The Nexus 5 is also the first Android device to feature Android 4.4.
