I DO NOT recommed Clive's Auto Clinic in Randburg. Stay away from them! Diagnosis is good but they have managed to destroy the convenience control unit (computer for all lights and windows etc.) on my BMW and I've had a Murano that went in for an oil leak and suspension bushes for about 5 months now. The car ran perfectly and while it was with him, things became very bad. The car was idling terribly and the MIL light came on. He had to send the car to Nissan. Oxygen sensors have to be replaced and the car was meant to be ready today. I couldn't get hold of them but called the Nissan dealership where the car is now and they have had the part since Monday, now its idling well but MIL light is still on:cry: No idea when the car will ever come back to me:mad:

Their workshop is split, one side for high performance BMW stuff, and the other for general mechanic/servicing etc.

Pricing is relatively good ie. cheaper then dealerships, a bit more then average indie mechanics.
 
Anything for VW golf Mk1 JHB? my chick has a got a 2000 mk1 Gts and i rate it needs some attention.

+1 for JDM tuning.

This guy at work showed me a quote from Bosch 7.6K for a service to his car (volvo) and he said that was quoted for oil change, checks, spark plug, filter replacements - He didnt bother getting a quote from the agents but is shopping around for a better deal.

Amazing how companies are not shy to blantantly rip off customers
