Put consumers first, MultiChoice .
Forget the minister , the profits multichoice are making are obscene .
 
I think from watching that interview on morning live that from a business perspective they really need a new spokesperson.
Yet almost everything Mr Carrim said about Multichoice was true and it seems like the spokesperson couldn't really compete or even provide a response to soften the blow at all on national TV, instead it sounded like he was almost in a complete loss of words with the various facts Mr Carrim stated.
 
Anyone who actually charges me for the right to pause and rewind a tv broadcast, cannot be pro consumer
 
What a silly PR move from DStv. People in general don't understand the technical concepts at play here. They come off second best adopting this public discourse method. They gain nothing and lose sentiment...

DTT without encryption will not be a competitor to DSTV+encryption.
Content produces demand encryption to protect their content from piracy.

If MonoChoice is so pro-consumer why don't they offer the community channels as FTA.
SABC1, SABC2, SABC3, e-TV, BBC-News, CNN, eNews, SABC News, ANN7,
Al Jazera, RT, Parliamentary Service, CCTV, Euro News, RAI, BVN, ERT, RTP, DW are
all community channels available FTA overseas, but DSTV don't make them available FTA.

MonoChoice needs competition and DTT+encryption would enable real competition.
