OnePlus One - $300 killer Android phone

I'd guess that shipping it with a copy of your invoice (so they can see it's used/old) and a copy of your receipt for having paid VAT & duty would get you off that hook?

Might work, you'd have to ask Stackry/Your forwarder to print and include that in the declaration on their side.

Anybody else using Calkulin's rom, he's updated to v2.5 final today. If going from 2.1 just backup, wipe dalvik and cache and flash the new zip :)

I slipped and fell in the pool the other day with my OPO in my pocket :(

I've taken it apart and tried drying it with a hair dryer and left it in a bag of rice for few days but still nothing.

Is it game over? :(

Ouch, sorry to hear. I would think that it's tickets, yes. The only phone that's worked 100% after swimming for me was a Blackberry, it's still going after 3 years or so of being at the bottom of the pool.

Insured? My One is insured for local market value. A little piece of mind.

Oh well :(

No insurance.

Think I'll just wait and get the oneplus two later in the year.

I have even seen a note 3 rom being released. Pathetic support so far from OP but what makes it worse was the lack of communication. Even this announcement was a joke. If you are not going to hit the 3 month promise then at least say something before you miss it and do they even read their own forums.

I'm also thinking about doing that. Tired of waiting and if it arrives late March then I am going to upgrade my contract April anyway so probably pop the OPO back in the box and forget about it without it ever really tasting lollipop.

So I'm finished putting Lollipop on my OnePlus One. I can't recommend enough that you guys do the same. It's so much more than an aesthetic overhaul. It's so much smoother that it's like I've got a new phone.

Does it have all the same features of the 11s roms so themes, double tap to wake, max audio etc

It has AudioFX, but I don't spot the MaxAudio brand in it any more. Personally I don't care as I didn't detect any improvements when it first appeared. Everything else seems to be available as usual.

I used the nano Gapps file, which only has the Play Store bare basics. I actually had to manually download Gmail and Maps from the Play Store. It's awesome not having any bloatware - not even the Google bloatware.

Edit: the power of Greenify is scary. I now generally have 1.9GB RAM free.

Let me know how the battery life is going as well. I might just flash but so far on 05 my battery has been pretty epic

Will do. If I have reduced battery life I'll flash the latest Franco kernel and see if it improves.

I paid R12 for a material themed Swiftkey keyboard. I never thought I'd see such a day.

The only bummer I'd encountered with CM 12 is that DSTV Now suddenly says that my device is unsupported. Rather annoying, as watching live sport on my phone came in handy a few times.

Edit: I see lots of people are getting the unsupported error. It's unlikely they're all rooted. Probably just a temporary issue with the app.
