Woah, R6500? Could you please expand a little bit on your price break-down? You paid R820 to use the MyUS service and R105 for the actual shipping cost from DHL?

Ouch, mine came in at R5400 total with Stackry/FedEx and got to me in Durban on the 4th day after Stackry shipped. Was might impressed.

Isn't there a cheaper way of acquiring this phone? And can't you order directly, or must one work through a USmailing service (ie, they don't ship to SA)?
Also, I believe I read somewhere that the phone will be availible here in SA shortly. Will this happen? Is it a good idea to wait?

I'm sure that you can use any mailing service, as long as said service operates in the country that you plan to ship the device to, and said country is an allowed country?

I see that PostBox Courier now has a depot in Hong Kong- and an estimated cost, based on the box size I got off the OPO forums, is about $40 all inclusive. I'm not sure if they still operate as before (where they don't charge you any customs fees) but I reckon you could get the 64GB version for under R5k.
 
Hey guys,

My oneplus one has arrived. It is brand new. I literally only turned it on to see if it worked. I had to pay a fair amount of unanticipated custom duties and so I have to up my original price to R5100. I hope you understand. Again, I'd be willing to swop for an iPhone 5s 32GB (pref. black) or greater, or an iPhone 6. I am in Cape Town (Atlantic Seaboard) and therefore preferably only want to deal with Capetonians. First one who is keen and can buy it relatively soon gets it.

Anyone else having an issue with the wifi MAC address changing every time the Adapter is turned on?

Even more strange my dhcp lease shows the MAC address as 000000240000010000060000000000000000 or something similar.

Running CM12 2015 02 28

Edit hasnt been a problem until today. Also under about > Status the device shows the correct MAC. Although bluetooth and WIFI have the same address....

I'm running CM 12 and haven't had any wifi issues. I connect to my wifi with a static IP.

still running stock cm11s on mine. i'll be surprised if i am not running a custom rom by end of next week.staying with stock at the moment to have a feel of what the battery should be able to do.

Narrowed it down. It seems to only affect Windows DHCP servers. I wonder if its not a security feature. It works fien on my router or on my pf sense DHCP Server.

By Adapter i mean the Wifi module. If I turn my Wifi off and then back on I get a new MAC Address reporting in Windows DHCP.

Rather annoying actually..
 
What accessories do you guys have for your OPO's?
Which covers/screen protectors/etc and how is the quality of said accessories?

LTE works 100% here. Im with MTN

I have an Orzly glass screen protector and both a Nillkin and a Diztronic case. Both very good but use the Diztronic one more often as it just feels so good.

Which Diztronic case?

I remember the one I had on my G2, it was excellent.
 
So I went ahead and bought an OPO. Now the wait begins and I hope mine is not a dud like some of the guys on the forum.

EDIT:
They say it will take "up to three days" to ship the order. What was your actual experience regarding this?
