Lekker. Enjoy- it's an amazing phone for the price. In no way do I feel the quality is inferior to an S4, for example. In some ways, it feels better :)

So I went ahead and bought an OPO. Now the wait begins and I hope mine is not a dud like some of the guys on the forum.

EDIT:
They say it will take "up to three days" to ship the order. What was your actual experience regarding this?

exactly that. thats to the mail forwarders though.

What accessories do you guys have for your OPO's?
Which covers/screen protectors/etc and how is the quality of said accessories?

EDIT:
Does the LTE work on SA networks?

I've got the Tudia Cygen Case which is a little big but has looked after the phone after a few falls.

I also have one of the Generic Chinese "super hard bulletproof bombproof invincible" tempered glass screen protectors. It has worked well. Only issues I've had is the part near the earpiece didn't stick down out of the box and I eventually broke it off. Also recently I dropped the phone out of my bag and it must have hit a sharp stone and shattered the screen protector. Screen looks fine though so I'm glad I went for one.

Yep. And hopefully only 2-3 days after that. I'm hoping for early next week in my hands.

Just to be safe I ordered the tempered glass screen protectors as well. If they work then it's worth the price.

It sure as hell beats replacing the $200 screen... With the Tudia Cover there is a fairly high lip around the edges of the screen.

I am literally on their site every hour to see if there is progress. Do they send an email as soon as the phone is shipped to the mail forwarders? The case I ordered from Amazon last night is already on its way to the mail forwarders.

I think I am a wee bit excited about this phone...

Do you guys realise you can just buy an LG G3 for R5999 in SA? Slightly superior hardware and design compared to the OPO, and if you flash CM 12 you'll have the same firmware. At that price I wouldn't even bother with the hassle of ordering a OnePlus One.

But then you would be sitting with an LG and not an OPO. :D

BTW, jujst got the email that said my phone was shipped 5am South Africa time. Estimated delivery at the forwarders is tomorrow some time.

Imo, a dual sim 32GB G3 running CM 12 is the best phone on earth right now. The thin bezels, amazing camera hardware, 128GB microSD support and support for a dedicated data sim card cannot be beaten.

Comaprison on gsmarena. Though, they don't look alike (somehow maybe), but the same CPU and GPU and better screen on the LG, I should maybe also concider this option.

Tell me, Microsoft is going to invest in Cyanogen (supposedly), is there any threat in experience towards us.

In terms of OnePlus, the arrangement with Cyanogen has already ended. OnePlus is going with their own OxygenOS firmware, and Cyanogen are going to offer the two years of support for the OPO that they're contracted for.

In terms of users wanting the best firmware, it doesn't matter what direction Cyanogen go in. There are already other great ROM's to use instead.
