iOS 8 boasts new features and better graphics

Still can't put out if office on the email client?

Moving closer to Android. That notification center, widgets, and 3rd party keyboards now compatible.

Android 4.2?

I would love to see how Android is going to pull off those Continuity features with all the hardware segregation. It's a pretty big deal and could be quite the game changer.

Wonder if it's not maybe the precursor to their phablet if you can now take calls via OSX already and receive SMS there as well.

It is English, perhaps I should rephrase?
We cannot enable or update the "out of office" function for email on the iPhone.

Better?

Can you do this on any phone? It's highly server dependant.

I know it's a feature supported by the Gmail app and I would imagine therefore it works in some Android cases but I don't think it's universal to all mail servers.

What Continuity features?

You can make/receive calls and SMS on your Mac or IPad.

Most interesting to me are the Family Sharing options which will alone up to 6 people to share all the content between their accounts as well as have parental controls on place to control purchases by child accounts.

A great many little features that will change the lives of anyone with a fully Apple integrated lifestyle. Of course Android people would never understand that...not enough choice and all that bull****.

Oh right. Yeah that is very cool. I especially like the idea that your phone can be somewhere random in the house and you can still get calls.

Yeah I mean it's easy to bash Apple for playing supposed catch up to Android most of which is largely expected in such a competitive market but also give credit where credit is due.

They have an incredible offering now especially if you have more than one Apple device and also other less device specific features like Family Sharing and cheaper iCloud storage etc.

I think they've showed off some incredible things today which all add up to a great experience when combined.

And Android will benefit from those ideas eventually and the cycle will reverse and repeat.

We are all winners at the end of the day as they compete with each other.

One feature I'm curious about, which android already has btw is wifi calling.. Anyone know if SA networks will be supporting this in future? This is basically the routing of messaging and calls via wifi when coverage is poor. (Granted inSA they should be doing this at reduced cost ;-))

Can do that with Airdroid already. Google anyway just need to update the Gmail hangouts with sms capabilities.

Using your normal cellphone number? Don't you have to use their number much like a Skype number?

You say you can do it already, but then you say Google need update Hangouts? So which is it?

The way I understood it it's nothing like that and this was more a case of using your phone as a relay over the local wireless network.

I could be wrong thought.
