What's the point of this article? Everybody knows flagship devices cost the same on contract.

What are you talking about? It is very useful article in my view because it informed me of MTN prices so no need for me to look up their brochure.
 
Looks like MTN offer a better deal with the minutes as opposed to airtime value.
