Telkom launches new ADSL, 3G contract deals

Brilliant new plans indeed, but what are the premium and supreme plans all about ?

I have never had the option for anything faster than 4mbps ??

Line rental included?

I would say yes because of this. It line rental included AND calling plans on the land line.... Very well priced actually.

* Comes with free Wi-Fi
** Comes with Unlimited Weekend & Evening Telkom to Telkom Landline Calls
*** Comes with Unlimited Anytime Telkom to Telkom Landline Calls
**** Comes with Unlimited Anytime Telkom to Telkom Landline Calls, Microsoft Office 365, VDSL Wi-Fi Router, Huawei Wi-Fi Range Extender, 3G Huawei E5330 Mi-Fi Router

I would love a 40mbps line... My exchange supports it but I am to far away from it.

Did you guys see that you now get unlimited data on their smart plan 100?

What is the use offering these packages when most of us can't get more than 4mbps ? Telkom, catch a wakeup !!

Barring the 24 month contract, this seems to be very good value for money to be honest. They are making it hard for me to decide which option to take for getting ADSL...

4 sims-2 data and 2 call. Can these be combined onto 2 sims? (*calls and data on each of 2 sims only)

Any ADSL or cellular contract longer than 12 months in South Africa is a killer for what would have been a very good deal, IMO. Thanks Telkom, but after looking at that contact length... no thanks! :(

Yep 24 month contract is way too long. Also a big pity so few can take advantage of the VDSL deal.

Would sign up......even 12 months on contract but not 24 months.....

People seems to make such a big deal about the 2 year contract story. I have happily switched deals over the last 6 years and Ive never been penalised for it. In fact when new pricing (cheaper/better) deals come out we seem to be automatically upgraded.
IMO.....contact fear=much ado about nothing.

I agree with Leftfoot. Also to get to competitive prices like this, you have to calculate it over a fixed period, otherwise it would be more expensive.
