On 11 March 2013 a MyBroadband forum member published a post in the News and Current Affairs forum that falsely linked Ambassador Bheki Langa, a senior respected South African diplomat, to corruption and maladministration at Telkom. The allegations were obviously false and defamatory and severely damaging to the diplomat’s dignity and esteem.
MyBroadband was unaware of the post until alerted to it on 9 September 2014. MyBroadband removed the post on 10 September 2014.
MyBroadband sincerely regrets that defamatory comments were posted on its forum, and that Ambassador Langa was unjustifiably targeted and harmed by these comments.
