Eskom UPDATE : LOAD SHEDDING in STAGE 3

In some areas - are we supposed to guess?

We are scheduled to go down at 4pm if it's stage 3 but we are still up.

So do I take a chance and get some work done or risk another power supply going bye-bye..

I don't understand this, stage 2 says:

Up to 2000 MW to be shed
From 05:00 to 21:30 Monday to Saturday

Yet, on our schedule for stage 2 we have the following times:

02:00 - 04:30

How is that between 05:00 and 21:30?

How much MW can be shed in stage 3? :p

Also - useless Eishkom

Since you ask… Stage one load shedding allows for up to 1000MW of the national load to be cut, stage two for up to 2000MW, and stage three for up to 4000MW.

The 02:00 - 04:30 is never enforced usually, since demand drops earlier.

What's really annoying is all the servers that get hit and one can't do anything at Uni until they get them back up :(

Go to your municipality's website, it should tell you what stage you're in.
