How accurate is Axxess website with verifying whether my line is able to do adsl?
Telkom adsl checker gives me an error and says i should contact Telkom while Axxess says I am adsl allegeable.

that site is outdated, but may give u a idea

try to phone telkom or go to the local telkom shop

That site is not up to date. According to them I can get max 4Mbps, but I am running a 10Mbps line syncing at 9Mbps without issues.

I see that site only shows maps untill 2012 on the lefthand side. That makes me think it isnt kept up to date

Looks like contacting telkom is the only way to be sure of my line. Thanks guys.
Me hopes that Axxess website it correct cause gaming on 3G just doesnt cut it.

yes there is

"TelkomZA"
just pm him ask him to do a check, and give him your landline number,

guys, there is apparently a number that you dial from your line that you can then check if that line is ADSL compatible. I still have a physical line in my house but have never bothered to activate it - however, I am now considering ADSL and would like to know if it is "ADSL ready" .... what is the number to dial ?

hi,sorry for thread hijacking,but

i am intrested in getting a new dedicated line just for adsl
but on the check site as above i get

Your request failed
No free ports available- Waiters registered on StationCode(s): WWOC:23.

does that mean i cant get a new line till they upgrade the exchange?

That means if you sign up you will have to wait for the other 23 people to get a port.
Ports can become available if the exchange is upgraded or a new Exchange is added.
Ports can also become available if someone else cancels their ADSL/telephone line service.

ohh thank you :)

hope for a upgrade,or a new one (not gonna happen tho)

just have to wait :(
