Afrihost Capped ADSL Feedback (MTN) - New beginning

Afrihost has been having very bad connection and I am unable to connect even to their network, using my Telkom ADSL.

Started using IS backone ISP..packet loss never even touches 0.32% compared to 10%-20% at its best on the AH network
 
Can't Twitch again tonight, after it running perfectly last night (same times)! WTF????
 
I just realized something, why does Crystalweb have 24 hours support during the week, but have the least amount of problems and Afrihost barely has support during the day but are constantly underperforming! Oh and btw well done Afrihost on racking up so many complaints that the forum software can't handle the single thread anymore!

I guess it's definitely a sign that we've had a few issues that we've run over into a new thread, but hopefully also a sign that we're always willing to discuss and find solutions.

Last night we saw loadshedding hit at about 17:00 and demand dropped pretty much across the board, however we did notice that a few clients reported slow throughput on P2P especially, which is strange if demand is low. As far as we can see that seemed to return to normal later in the evening.

Glad to hear it. Just out of interest, was there any loadshedding in or around your area?

Very intermittent, strange that the 3rd hop times out as well on the second trace. With network latency I usually expect it to be consistently bad, but this seems a lot more intermittent.

Have you tested on another ISP network?

No haven't had the chance yet, but had similar issues yesterday. Did a test on WA and it was running fine.

Not strange, we already reported high latency on the 3rd hop last night. Is there any feedback on it?

3rd hop latency where the second hop times out is very difficult to take as a definitive indicator, there's important info missing so the only way to make up for that is to test with another network and compare.

Latency on the network was definitely normal according to my reports for all regions.
