It happened yesterday. All Night OWL had been added to the normal data, there is no more Night OWL.

What is going on? SMS to 31050 brings 2360MB, but receiving SMS OOB warning that my bundle has been depleted below 400MB! Which one is correct? Is any Vodacom rep on this forum?

Called 111 from this SIM number. Once I told them that I am not account holder, they refused to give any information. The account holder is out of coverage, could be overseas too.

Returned SMS for 'mm' request to 31050:
2015-05-10 10:43:36
Data Bundle: 1746MB available.
Carry-over: 0MB available.

Alert SMS:
2015-05-10 11:05:38
Alert: Your Vodacom data bundle on 072xxxxxxx has run out. Out of bundle rates now apply. To buy bundles & save dial *111# or visit vodacom.mobi .~

Account query again:
2015-05-10 12:12:54
Data Bundle: 1700MB available.
Carry-over: 0MB available.

"You have exceeded your voluntary call limit on 2772.... Your line will be soft locked..."
It doesn't allow to open the data line at all. Other networks allow to connect and visit free or personal portal. It means that unused (hidden now) Night OWL data can not be used either.

I think in the inevitable dispute Vodacom have been defeated by refusing to attend my call and now they have to take responsibility for this situation.

Mods: please not delete these posts. This is a record how situation progressed.

Previously response to the 'mm' balance requests returned remained data of three components:
- remaining all day
- remaining Night OWL
- carry-over

Now is has changed and it has only two components: "Data bundle" and carry-over.

Anyone else on the open data contract (with Night OWL) is receiving the same response to the 'mm' data balance requests?

After seeing this thread yesterday, I also went and checked and yes indeed there is no separate value for Night Owl instead there are only values for Data bundle and carry over.

Ok, well I jut had a look on one of my clients 3G numbers and night owl is definitely still there.

It is on the system and my line was locked down according to the system, but response to 'mm' brings just total data.

Looking where I wrote down phone number, as the line is locked now, will PM later.

And if you log in on the Vodacom website portal? Does it show there?

Your night owl is there and active and data has been used out of it. The line however is locked due to the call limit being reached for usage over and above the normal (non night owl) data.
Correct. Night OWL data is still there, but inaccessible, as line is locked.

Second problem, we need clear answer from Vodacom representrative why they changed response to 'mm' command from informative to deceptive one. If it is in preparation for future changes in the system (i.e. dropping OWL data), I forgive them. But if it is in result of mistake or some moron 'improvement', I am asking to correct the problem and apologize.

It is pity that in the past MyBB gave Vodacom excuse for a claim to be "the best network for smartphones" and now MyBB have no company representative on the forum when problem arrives. !Lesson learnt!

Its now back to normal for me. All three values are displayed.

It was back for a while. Now after couple days of no response to mm requests, they are trying to cheat again. Timing is good, it is end of the month, new victims are waiting for receiving hudge OOB bills!

You are correct.

Sounds like "you're only going to say this once."
But I think that was Night Hawk.
Sorry.......

Fool me once, I can be naive. Fool me twice, I am damn idiot.
